You will always know what operation you will be having before being admitted to hospital. All our patient care is based on informed consent and you will not be asked to consent to further or alternative measures.

  • Rigid sigmoidoscopy 
  • Haemorrhoid injection 
  • Haemorrhoid banding 
  • Rectal biopsy 
  • Evacuation of perianal haematoma
  • Assessment for Colonoscopy and Bowel Cancer Screening 
  • Assessment of Polyps 
  • Assessment and arrangement of Virtual Colonoscopy (CT Pneumocolon)
  • Haemorrhoidectomy
  • Milligan Morgan Haemorrhoidectomy
  • Fissure treatment - Creams / Botox / Lateral sphincterotomy / Flaps 
  • Pilonidal sinus treatment - Excision and primary closure or closure with skin flaps (eg Rhomboid flap), minimally invasive treatment for pilonidal sinus (Keyhole surgery)  
  • Anal sepsis and fistula in ano - for complex (may require MRI) and non-complex fistulating disease utilising both traditional and minimally invasive techniques (VAAFT)
  • Excision of anal polyps / lesions / warts
  • Endoscopy
  • Flexible sigmoidoscopy
  • Colonoscopy - diagnostic and polypectomy
  • Open and laparoscopic colon and rectal resection for cancer and benign disease
  • Laparoscopic and open abdominoperineal excision
  • Complex abdominal surgery: small bowel and multivisceral resection for IBD (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease)
  • Laparoscopic appendicectomy
  • Laparoscopic and open incisional, ventral, umbilical and inguinal hernia repair including recurrent hernia
  • Abdominal wall reconstruction for complex and recurrent abdominal wall hernia
